Artistic Web Design — Distinctive Websites that Sell!
Do You Want a High Performing Website?
Is your website underperforming? Not generating the sales you expect?
Does your website have the blahs? Is the copy bland? The design boring? Does it confuse your visitors?
Don’t yet have a website but know you need one—one that will return your investment in it many times over?
Distinctive, Marketing-Oriented Websites
If your website is suffering from any of the problems above—or if you are getting a new website and want one that works hard for you—I’d love to have the opportunity to help you. I work with small businesses that want high-performing websites, particularly sites with a distinctive style that attracts attention. A website is the most cost-effective marketing tool available, but only if it’s designed well. I create eye-catching websites that keep the emphasis on the primary purpose of your site—to increase your business.
Features of an Effective Website
The best websites are those which quickly and easily provide the information that the website visitor is seeking. Good websites also prominently feature the benefits of your products and services but they do so without hype. And, importantly, your website should have plenty of good content—solid information about your products and services. That’s what people come looking for.
My philosophy in website design is to keep it simple, or as web usability expert Steve Krug says in his book of the same name “Don’t Make Me Think.” Navigation should be clear and concise, pages should be designed for quick scanning and easy readability, and every page should contain a call to action by the website visitor. The call to action is an appeal to your website visitor to take some step that leads him or her closer to making a purchase—an invitation to send you an email, to call or visit your business, or to just go to another page to learn more about what you have to offer.
Websites That Work
A website like those described above can be a very efficient way of informing your customers about the value of your products and services. If you choose to work with me, I’ll conduct an in-depth interview with you to learn about your business, your target market, and your competitive advantage. Then, I’ll help you write marketing copy that will quickly and clearly explain to your prospects the benefits and value that they can expect to receive. Together, we will create an attractive website with promotions that will entice your customers to contact you or visit your place of business.
