Critique of your existing website, if applicable

Detailed interview with you to learn about your business and determine your needs. The following is a brief summary of the questions I will ask during the interview:

? Your goals for your new or redesigned website

? Your market niche & your competitive advantage in your business

? What actions you want your website visitors to take; any incentives
you can offer to motivate that action

Help with choosing and registering a domain name (e.g., www.yourbusiness.com)

Design of a mockup of your website based on your input during our initial meeting. You will have the option to request changes to this design and a second mockup will be created. This process will be repeated until you are happy with the result. In the event that you do not care for the first mockup at all, a completely different second mockup will be created based upon your additional input.

Assistance with developing the content for your website. Assistance with repurposing existing printed copy for the web. Assistance with the development of a tagline, if needed. Copywriting and editing, as desired.

Email and phone support for all of your questions. Some web designers limit you to only an hour or two of phone support and then charge an hourly rate for anything over that. I don't limit your questions. I want you to feel free to ask questions.

The following features can be included in your site, as desired:

? Content Management System (CMS)

Setup of as many email addresses as you need and help configuring your email program to access your new email addresses

Autoresponders to automatically send files to your website visitors (e.g., free informational documents that you might offer to encourage visitors to register at your site)

Basic photography services (e.g., for a portrait or a product photo)

Royalty-free background music, if desired

One year of web hosting (a $100 value) and domain name registration (a $15 value). In addition to the monetary savings, I also handle all the paperwork and technical details for you.

Up to 10 stock photos from iStockphoto.com; any additional stock photos will be billed.

Basic search engine optimization (SEO) and initial SEO testing; search-engine friendly web pages

Information about how to promote your website

Testing in 10 popular web browsers on three PC platforms (Windows, Mac & Linux). Web pages often look different in different browsers and sometimes fail to work properly in certain browsers. I test to ensure that your website will be usable by all your site visitors.

Free updates for 60 days after your website launch date

An optional content management system (CMS) that allows you to easily make updates to specified portions of your website (you would need to purchase a $150 program to install on your computer to do the editing)

Also available, through others I work with, are professional photo and video services; art, illustration and animation services; in-depth search engine optimization; voice artists.

A backup CD of your website including all source code for any compiled language projects (such as Flash)

Initial consultations (after 30 days and 60 days) on traffic patterns at your website (to help determine which pages visitors are frequenting and which they may be skipping)

Assistance in creating an email newsletter, if desired

Close cooperation with you throughout the process; frequent progress updates; and careful attention to your input.
